Bryan Alvarez runs the adult program at Evergreen Karate and Jiu-Jitsu. He is a certified brown belt under Pedro Sauer and Justin Angelos. Master Sauer is an eighth-degree red-and-black belt under Rickson and Helio Gracie, the latter of whom is the renowned patriarch of the Gracie Family and the founder of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Bryan was awarded his blue, purple and brown belts by Master Sauer. He has trained with such notable black belts as Rickson Gracie, Rener Gracie, Relson Gracie, Keith Owen, Rob Lovi, Rylan Lizares, Jeff Curran and Anibal Lobo, as well as former UFC and WEC champions Urijah Faber and Frank Mir. Bryan is also a green belt in Shudokan Karate, was a state and regional champion gymnast in his teens, and was a pro-wrestler for over a decade. Prior to teaching jiu-jitsu he coached gymnastics for twenty years at both Leading Edge and Cascade Elite Gymnastics.
Whitney Neugebauer runs the youth jiu-jitsu program at Evergreen Karate and Jiu-Jitsu. She is a certified purple belt under Pedro Sauer, Justin Angelos and Bryan Alvarez, and received her blue belt from second-degree black belt Keith Owen. She has also trained with such renowned black belts as Rickson Gracie, Rener Gracie, Relson Gracie, Rob Lovi, Rylan Lizares and Anibal Lobo. She began jiu-jitsu after competing in gymnastics for 15 years and winning several state and regional championships. She coached gymnastics for three years before coming to Evergreen Karate and Jiu-Jitsu and holds a Masters Degree from the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs at the University of Washington.
Hadley Elston teaches the youth jiu-jitsu program at Evergreen Karate and Jiu-Jitsu. She is a certified third-degree blue belt under Pedro Sauer, Justin Angelos and Bryan Alvarez. She has trained with such well-known black belts as Rener Gracie, Rob Lovi, and Rylan Lizares. She is also an active Jiu-Jitsu competitor with several championships under her belt, including a first place no-gi win via submission at the 2013 Revolution tournament. Hadley also earned her black belt in Shudokan Karate on February 2nd, 2013.
Tony Leder runs the lunchtime Jiu-Jitsu program at Evergreen Karate and Jiu-Jitsu. He is a certified 1st degree purple belt under Pedro Sauer, Justin Angelos, and Bryan Alvarez. His two sons, Clifford and Carlos, also participate in the youth Jiu-Jitsu program.
